Paediatric emergency departments can be places of stress, anxiety and long waiting times, especially in the evenings. The Giggle Doctors support children, parent’s and medical staff’s wellbeing by visiting the emergency departments several evenings a week, with the “Emergency Giggles” program. The Giggle Doctors are needed more than ever as their presence helps reduce the perception of the waiting time, eases the anxiety of families and provide support to the medical staff.
